Rev. George McLaird is Pastor Emeritus of the Sausalito Presbyterian Church, grounded in the Reformed theological tradition—often described as “reformed and always reforming.” He embraces this principle of continual reforming and renewal as central to both faith and life.
His work includes counseling and spiritual direction, drawing on decades of experience supporting individuals in their spiritual development. He focuses on helping people discover inner peace and personal truth through a wide range of spiritual practices, such as “There are many authentic spiritual paths—each a journey toward deeper connection, peace, and enlightenment.” He has published half dozen books.
George and his wife, Linda—a former French teacher and United Airlines flight attendant—have been married for 44 years. His son, age 57, lives in San Francisco with his wife, Sujin; both are business professionals.
